Drones are increasingly being used for mapping and surveying applications. Normally, Ground Control Points(GCPs) are required to correct your 2D or 3D model afterwards to get the model accurate and at the correct coordinates. However, devices such as the DJI Phantom 4 RTK and DJI Matrice 210 RTK V2, through the use of an NTRIP subscription, can correct their location in real time while flying, to get the accuracy right down to centimeters instantly. Because of this live correction, the GPS location stored in the photo's metadata is instantly the exact location, which means that when processing the data into a 2d or 3d model, you (virtually) no longer need Ground Control Points. This saves a lot of work in your workflow and ensures high accuracy of your model.
