DroneTag Remote ID

As of Jan. 1, 2024, most drones in use must comply with the requirements of the Open Category A1/A2 and the Specific Category regarding Remote ID. Specifically, in addition to the operator number, the drone will also be required to broadcast its current position. However, it is important to note that not all drones currently have this functionality.

Remote ID acts as a digital license plate for drones, designed to allow enforcers to remotely read information about the owner of a specific drone (via the operator number) and the aircraft's current position and altitude.
